The Pool Winter Closing Treatment Kit by Haviland treats up to 20,000 Gallons and includes two 1 pound bags of dichlor Quick Shock and 1 Qt (32 oz) of Algae Kill 50 Algaecide. Keeping your pool in shape over the winter is simple with our winter chlorinating kits. Simply clean the pool and vacuum up any debris present in the pool water. Any debris or algae left in the pool will result in a problem next spring. Remove all ladders and accessories and test and adjust pH, alkalinity and hardness levels. Pool water must be balanced (pH 7.2 to 7.6, Alkalinity 80 to 150, Hardness 175 to 275, Iron or Copper less or equal to .05). Add the entire contents of the kit 24 hours before lowering the water level by following the instructions on the box.
