Product Description
The AO Smith H635 Pool Pump Motor is a Square Flange style motor with a 56Y Frame and is a 3-Phase 208-230/460 Volt 1 Horsepower Motor. Square Flange motors have a square "face" where the motor mounts to the pump with 4 non-threaded bolt holes to attach the pump and a threaded shaft.
Square Flange motors are most commonly used on Pentair Challenger, WhisperFlo, SuperFlo and Pinnacle pumps, Hayward TriStar and Max-Flo II pumps, most Jandy pumps and Sta-Rite Max-E-Pro, Max-E-Glas/Max-E-Glas II, Dura-Glas/Dura-Glas II, Dyna-Pro, Dyna-Glas and Dyna Max pumps. 3-Phase Motors are commonly used on commercial swimming pool and water feature pumps.
It is important to know that pool pump motors are not manufactured by the pump manufacturer; the motor will usually be manufactured by AO Smith, Magnetek or Centurion. Your pump's motor should have a label or faceplate on it which includes the information you need to replace your pump motor. The most important categories to note will be the horsepower (hp), motor frame (fr), voltage and service factor (sf). Some labels will provide you with a model number and it will usually be listed as CR or CAT.
