System 3 sand filters use a durable 2-piece filter tank made with Dura-Glas which is Sta-Rite's industry leading glass reinforced composite resin material. It also uses an innovative design with a lateral assembly designed to produce a more balanced water flow and deeper sand bed penetration which results in cleaner water. The deeper sand bed is able to hold more dirt which allows for longer filter cycles with less cleaning.
